Well it’s been four years as of today since I first started this blog. When I first posted I was at a point in my life where I was at a sort of crossroads - I had just finished high school, was trying to sort out what I wanted to do in my life and all the while I was with someone who was special to me at the time, who had gotten me back into comics after a long time break in reading. It seems almost like it was yesterday.. I really thought I wouldn't have spare time, or just gotten tired of it, but I feel more motivated than ever to stick with it. I've been so busy lately, but I'd like to at least be able to post once a day, as soon as everything's been sorted out.. again, I'd like to say..

Thanks for reading CI!

Posts may be sporadic lately as I've moved and still unpacking...things should be back to normal next week hopefully. For now I'm excited over news I've heard over the past week -

-Mike Grell (Jon Sable Freelance) will be returning to his most famous creation at DC, The Warlord, in time for the character's 35th anniversary.

-Milestone is back after a 11 year absence, and will be integrated into the mainstream DC universe!

-Batman: The Dark Knight has broken yet another record - $400 million domestically at the box office in just 18 days, the fastest pace ever.

-Todd McFarlane is returning to Spawn with issue #185, with Whilce Portacio as new series artist.

-Neil Gaiman and Andy Kubert on “Whatever Happened to the Caped Crusader?” Awesome.

Here's the trailer for "Hulk Vs Wolverine" which will be on sale January 2009 for Blu-ray and DVD.

Welcome to the redesigned Comics Impulse! I'm still in the process of recovering posts that never published for some reason, but nearly everything else is functional. Please tell me what you think!

Hello out there to the visitors of Comics Impulse... I'd like to take the time to apologize about the lack of updates for the past few months. I am working on some stuff right now that makes it hard to keep up with everything here, though soon I hope to add more features. More will be posted soon, but CI will be back very soon with new material.

I'll be adding some shots from the Syracuse Heroes Expo as well (turn out this year was great, lots of fans, tournaments and just an overall fun experience. I'd like to thank all the dealers who came, as well as the celebrity guests. We all hope you visit again soon! And again, thanks goes out to everyone who's stuck by me & Comics Universe/Impulse over the past 3 years!

Just finished a big upgrade as you probably can see, and there's still a little more to do.

I just wanted to announce that Comics Impulse is now on MySpace. There's more about the future of this blog can be found here. Again, I appreciate all the people who have made this, Comics Universe and New Comics Universe pretty trafficked blogs in the past 18 months. The best is yet to come, so while there's only a few more weeks until the changes, check out the MySpace link or to the left of your screen.

Hello again, and welcome to the Comics Impulse. I'm RedSpyda and I'll be delivering the latest & greatest in the world of comic books, comics history & related media (press releases, video game news & previews and more.) I hope you'll bookmark this site & give me feedback (any comment is helpful) on what I should and shouldn't feature here. I hope you'll check out what I call the Archives (the Original Comics Universe & New Comics Universe blogs) for back reference. I'll be still working on this blog so stop back frequently and hope you enjoy. Thanks again!

Sorry about before...but I've added a new look and a lot of links to the page including a combination of my favorite comic sites mixed with tech & video game links. Hope everyone enjoys! I'll be making a post tomorrow to update whats going on in the comic world. Until then, check out this rare Joe Madureira pic.

Hey everyone...everything seems to be back to normal here. I'm working on the 2nd version of the forum as we speak and it should be running by tomorrow. I'll be posting little things until tomorrow and I'll include a link to register to the forum. It only takes 1 min! I feel with the new year its time for a change... I'll have something up real soon, so until then check out the cover to Superman #215, the final issue of the current arc "For Tomorrow"

theres alot going on... right now I'm updating site links for this blog, updating user accounts and adding a few more categories... hopefully by tonight there will be something for everybody at the forum. Until everything is set, check out the new John Romita Sr. / Alex Ross litho which should also be in stores by next week.
